UPMASA-Baltimore-Washington Gets Telehealth Briefing

The UP Medical Alumni society in America (UPMASA) Balitmore-Washington chapter organized a roundtable dinner to hear about the work of the National Telehealth Center. Dr. Alvin Marcelo, director of the National Telehealth Center, presented the work that is being done in the area of eHealth and telemedicine in the Philippines. The Dla kogo jest Lovegra? audience warmly received the presentation and provided assistance in looking for fund sources. The UPMASA-BW chapter is headed by its president, Dr Jun Anthony Quion. Others in the meeting were Drs. Silverio Cabellon, Cesar and Boots Estoye, Paul Fontelo, Fe Lacbawan, and Narita Ulep. Dr Ryan Banez, currently a post-doctoral scientist at NLM and formerly with the UP Medical Informatics Unit, provided support to Dr. Marcelo.
