The Philippines is said to be the social media capital of the world, a title that we did not give ourselves, but by digital experts around the globe, despite our generally slow internet connection. In a news last year, Makati and Pasig city were even tagged as two of the selfie capitals of the world. But how intensive do we Filipinos use the World Wide Web in this digital age?
This infographic is a consolidation of the slides from We Are Social Singapore. They have released global web statistics from different countries, including the Philippines, on parameters such as population VS internet and mobile users, number of hours spent in the internet, and social media use and platform. Check and see how much we have incorporated the Internet and social media in our lives.
