Indonesian eHealth Scientist Visits NTHC

On June 26-29, Dr. Anis Fuad, faculty of medicine from the Department of Public Health of the University of Gadja Mada Indonesia visited the National Telehealth Center for his research on Biomedical informatics training in East Asian Pacific low and middle-income countries: progress and challenge.

In 2005, Dr. Anis supported the development of Indonesia’s Masters Program in Health Management and Information System. Currently he, is involved in several health informatics projects and consultancies in Indonesia, mostly with its Ministry of Health, provincial health offices, district health offices and hospitals.  In his stay at the National Telehealth Center, he gave a talk on the Health Information System in Indonesia and visited Navotas health centers to see the implementation of the Community Health Information Tracking System (CHITS), the award winning electronic medical records system for government health facilities.

Dr. Fuad is part of the Asia eHealth Information Network’s (AeHIN) Scientific Team, a network spearheaded by the World Health Organization-Western Pacific Region and the NTHC to increase capacities and leverage eHealth collaboration in Asia.
