The Department of Science and Technology will be having its week-long celebration of the National Science and Technology Week 2014 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City from July 24 – 28, 2014 with the theme: “A Science Nation Innovating to Meet Global Opportunities“.
The RxBox, a biomedical telemedicine device designed to provide better access to life-saving health care services in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs) nationwide, will be one of the projects featured by the DOST-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD). The RxBox, together with ‘Community Health Information Tracking System’ (CHITS), an electronic medical record, under the National Telehealth Service Program, is one among DOST’s efforts for a “Smarter Philippines”, and also a support to the Department of Health’s call for Kalusugang Pangkalahatan.
