Manila, Philippines — The web-based, open source electronic health record system that is the Community Health Information Tracking System (CHITS) can be used on portable devices such as handheld game console like Sony’s PlayStation Portable (PSP), communication devices such as Apple’s iPhone, and the tablet computer, iPad.
The web-browsing capabilities of these portable devices including mobile phones has expanded the possibilities of CHITS to be as accessible and mobile to its end-users such as health care workers and health policy decision makers. With these ever-growing possibilities, CHITS literally puts health in the hands of the people.
